My husband I stopped in Atlanta for a full day on our way to Florida around Christmas time. We got there in the morning around 9:00 am and stayed until 9:00pm this is everything we did while we were there.

Atlanta Christkindl Market: A Christkindl Market is a traditional German Christmas market that sells cookies, handmade items, Christmas ornaments, jams, fudge and other items that make great Christmas gifts or stocking stuffer ideas. We stumbled upon this market by accident. We loved the temporary Germanic style buildings that all the vendors were in and the delicious smells that drifted through the air. It was a nice break from the constant smell of weed that seemed to linger though the entire city of Atlanta.

Centennial Olympic Park: This green park is a dedication to the 1996 Olympics. The Olympic rings are still there as is a plaque. There are several outdoor music fests hosted there every year.

Coca-Cola Museum: The coke museum takes about 2 hours to go through. It takes you through the history of Coca- Cola and offers different exhibits that are interactive. They have 60 different flavors of Coke that can be sampled. At Christmas time they have giant Coke Christmas Ornaments outside the building.

Olympic Torch: We rented scooters and road around town until we came to the Olympic Torch. I had seen it going down the interstate and wanted
Atlanta Botanical Garden: Atlanta’s Botanical Garden is open year round and at Christmas time they have the entire place decorated in Christmas Lights and have special light shows in the evening. We got there just before it was getting dark and walked the entire grounds. They had indoor and outdoor light exhibits, they had drinks and snacks available for purchase as well as a walk up bar and a DJ. The light show is in the woods and the lights are synchronized to the Christmas orchestra music it fun and magical and great for all ages.

Piedmont Park: this is the same location as the Botanical Garden, however there is a large area of the park that is free to get into before ever getting to the Botanical Garden. We arrived at Piedmont Park and walked and ran there and spent at leave 2 hours there before ever even getting to the Botanical Park entrance to pay.
We had a great time in Atlanta, Georgia and got to see everything I wanted to see and more.
